To curb corruption and delayed processes in government organization's, the innovative youngsters under YPP under the leadership of Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, formulated a bill wherein any government official failing to provide the requested service within the stipulated time frame would pay the penalty for every delayed day to the respective citizen from his own pocket.
National Education Policy submitted it to the State Legislative Committee, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) after the inclusion of important suggestions made by youth who participated in the discussions. This bill has been implemented in 2020, YPP impacted the considerable impact on NEP with necessary changes made according to the demographic/political/cultural conditions.
YPP is dedicated to transforming India’s healthcare system by advocating for health equity and health system resilience. YPP is supporting the Foundation for Democratic Reforms’ (FDR’s) Family Physician model. YPP engages youth in policy advocacy to address systemic healthcare challenges, including low public funding, inequitable access, and governance inefficiencies. Through youth-led initiatives, we strive to ensure universal, affordable, and high-quality healthcare for all Indians.
India’s youthful population, with 29.5% aged 0–14, is a demographic dividend that demands quality education. YPP, inspired by FDR’s vision, advocates for inclusive, skill-based reforms to empower youth. We shaped the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, integrating health and equity provisions to ensure accessible, holistic education for millions, fostering future leaders.
Health is vital for India’s progress. YPP champions health equity and system resilience, supporting FDR’s Family Physician model to deliver universal, affordable care. We address low public funding (1.3% GDP), inequitable access (70% private outpatient care), and governance inefficiencies through youth-led advocacy, including NEP health inputs, to ensure high-quality healthcare for all.
Outdated policies shackle India’s farmers, limiting productivity and livelihoods. YPP, guided by FDR’s reform agenda, pushes for liberalized agricultural policies, market access, and technology adoption. Our youth engage policymakers to advocate for sustainable farming practices, empowering farmers to thrive in a modern economy.
The 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments (1993) promised decentralized governance, yet implementation lags. YPP, aligned with FDR, advocates for empowered local bodies with fiscal autonomy and accountability. Through policy boot camps, we train youth to strengthen grassroots governance, ensuring effective service delivery for communities.
India’s judiciary is a trusted institution, but flawed appointment mechanisms hinder its efficacy. YPP, drawing on FDR’s insights, advocates for transparent, merit-based judicial appointments to elevate the best to the Bench. Our youth-led discussions push for reforms to enhance judicial efficiency and public trust.
